Regal Automobiles has raised the pricing of its DFSK Glory 580 versions and the Prince Pearl. Regal Automobile Industries Limited (RAIL), like Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) and Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC), has announced a two-phase price increase for its vehicles.
The first phase pricing is in effect immediately for bookings with balances due by November 30. The second phase pricing will apply to bookings made after November 30th.
The new prices by Regal Automobiles are as follows:
Vehicles | Old Prices (PKR) | 1st Phase Price (PKR) | 1st Phase Increase | 2nd Phase Price (PKR) | 2nd Phase Increase |
DFSK Glory 580 1.5T CVT | 4,229,000 | 4,384,000 | 155,000 | 4,539,000 | 155,000 |
DFSK Glory 580 1.8 CVT | 4,379,000 | 4,534,000 | 155,000 | 4,689,000 | 155,000 |
DFSK Glory 580 Pro | 4,610,000 | 4,765,000 | 155,000 | 4,920,000 | 155,000 |
Prince Pearl | 1,110,000 | 1,299,000 | 188,000 | – | – |
Regal Automobiles, like the majority of the manufacturers that have raised their pricing so far, has justified the hike on ongoing supply-chain issues and the weakening of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. Apparently, the government is aware of the problems and has given carmakers permission to raise their prices.
DFSK and Prince are the first two new entrants from China to raise the prices of their automobiles, indicating that similar announcements from other automakers such as Changan are not far away.
