Seven Pakistan Army soldiers and a civilian were martyred in an attack on a Frontier Corps camp in the Muslim Bagh area of North Balochistan on Friday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), six well-equipped terrorists were killed in the complex clearance operation, which also involved a hostage rescue situation. Six individuals, including a woman, were injured in the attack.
The ISPR added that three families were rescued from a residential block during the operation, which lasted for several hours. The terrorists had not even spared children of their horrendous approach. The statement maintained that necessary intelligence follow-up would continue to trace the terrorists’ connections and arrest facilitators, and expose their sponsors.
The security forces conducted the complex clearance operation to corner the terrorists into a building complex, under the supervision of the Commander 12 Corps. A heavy exchange of fire took place between the terrorists and the security forces during the operation.
