Shahid Afridi tests positive for Covid-19

Master blaster and the former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has tested positive for COVID-19. Shahid Afridi revealed this news to fans via his official Twitter account by expressing that he has been experiencing body pain for the past three days, and after going to lab for test, it was revealed that he has contracted coronavirus.

“I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately, I’m COVID positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah #COVID19 #pandemic #hopenotout #staysafe #stayhome”.

Shahid Khan Afridi is the third Pakistani cricketer who caught the virus. Before Afridi, the former Pakistani left arm opener Taufeeq Umer also tested positive for coronavirus and Zafar Sarfraz a former first class cricketer who sadly died because of coronavirus.

Shahid Afridi quit international cricket back in 2017 but continuously plays in domestic T20 leagues. He is also very active with his charity Shahid Afridi Foundation and put himself at risk to help poor and underprivileged people during the coronavirus lockdown in Pakistan.

The news saddened his fans, his fellow cricketers and people from all over the world poured in to express their well wishes for Boom Boom Afridi.
