Governors of Sindh and Punjab distributed ration bags among the rain-affected people of Karachi in collaboration with Bait-ul-Salam and Friends of Pakistan.
According to details, on Tuesday, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar reached Karachi for a 2-day visit along with Mian Talat from Friends of Pakistan, Anwar A Ghani, Mia Ahsan and Chairman Akhuwat Foundation Dr Amjad Saqib. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar called on Governor Sindh Imran Ismail in Governor House and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Moreover, 1 lac rupees will be donated by Akhuwat Foundation to each family for the restoration of houses affected by floods. He also visited the Faizan-e-Madina Centre of Dawat e Islami & Selani Centre. During his visit, Governor Sarwar will also pay a visit to Badeen with Governor Sindh.
During Press Conference of both governors of Sindh and Punjab, Chaudhry Sarwar said that they have come to Karachi to help the flood affectees. On this occasion, he announced that 35 Crore rupees will be spent to provide ration to over 1 lac families who have been affected by floods without any political discrimination.
Governor Punjab Ch Sarwar said that the people of Sindh and Karachi will not be left alone in this hour of crisis. As per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we stand with the people of Sindh in this difficult time.
The problems emerging in Karachi due to heavy rain and flood were discussed also, relief activities for affectees came under discussion. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar visited Saylani Trust. He lauded their relief initiatives regarding education, ration distribution among others. Governor Punjab also pledged to work with Saylani Foundation for carrying out relief activities in flood-affected areas.
