Teenager In Muzaffargarh Critically Injured After Setting Himself On Fire Due To Exam Stress

A 15-year-old boy in Mauza Wains, Jatoi tehsil, located approximately 80 kilometers away from the city area of Muzaffargarh, set himself on fire on Tuesday due to anxiety related to his upcoming class-IX examination. The boy, identified as Mohammed Hassan, suffered severe burns, covering 70% of his body and was immediately rushed to Nishtar Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. 

According to the boy’s father, Mohammed Shahid, his son was struggling with depression and was extremely anxious about his upcoming exams. In a fit of depression, Hassan reportedly sprayed petrol on himself and set himself ablaze. 

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a livestock team led by Additional Director Livestock Dr. Mohammad Tariq and Muzaffargarh magistrate discovered unhealthy meat during a raid in Mauza Long Khangarh. The team seized ten maunds of unhealthy cow meat and disposed of it. 

Dr. Tariq stated that the team had received a tip-off about the meat and conducted the raid to seize it. It is unclear whether any legal action will be taken against the individuals responsible for selling the unhealthy meat.
