Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has official announced that they are returning back to their original operational schedule to increase production capacity. The news was published via a media agency, in which they have revealed that the automaker is also procuring manpower in order to meet the required goal.
At the start of the coronavirus pandemic, along with Toyota IMC, many other automakers in Pakistan had to shut down their production entirely.
After the ease in restriction imposed by the Pakistan government, the automakers have started their single shift production schedule.
Now recently with the COVID-19 is near the eradication from Pakistan. Toyota IMC revealed that they are reverting to the double shift operational schedule to increase production in the near future.
The Toyota Indus Motors has made sure that the company will take all the precautionary measures in order to provide a safe and secure environment for all the employees working on the plant.
Toyota IMC is planning to produce 66,000 units per year, however, the automaker also set the production goal of up to 80,000 vehicles per year.
After the ease in COVID-19 restrictions and the low interest rate set by the central bank, the automobile industry observed a high demand despite an increase in vehicle prices.
Hammad Akram a Topline Research analyst revealed that Toyota’s management forecasts that during financial year (FY) 2020-21 the demand for the vehicles will be rise to 185,000 units.
Hammad also pointed out that the figure might cross and go up to 200,000 vehicles due to the high demand and Toyota IMC’s introduction of a new lineup.
The Toyota Yaris a compact sedan car is in high demand with each passing day and Toyota is enjoying success as things certainly look promising for the Toyota IMC’s future.
