Founded in 1986 as CECOS Data Institute by Engr. Muhammad Tanveer as a modest private sector institution with only 5 computers and a few students, the university has always focused on the principles of assisting students in becoming proficient in Science and Technology. More than 18000 students have benefited from the institute’s career development services, particularly in the fields of computer science, business management, and information technology. CECOS University is committed to academic achievement, teaching, research, and discovery, and to educating and grooming graduates, primarily in the fields of engineering, architecture, management, computer science, and allied sciences, so that they are prepared to assume future responsibilities.

The “CECOS Industrial Liaison Centre” (CILC) is established in Peshawar’s Industrial Estate by establishing necessary Engineering Workshops and Laboratories in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Micro Processing/Communication that are required to meet the professional goals of University-Industry Linkage programmes. It is enhancing the long-term relationship between industries, businesses, and academic institutions. Furthermore, CECOS London College, a training division of CECOS Computing International Ltd. UK (founded in 1998), has successfully continued to accept international students.

CECOS University offers a newly refurbished library that provides students with the most up-to-date books and journals, which not only helps them obtain all of the material they need to complete their course work, but also improves and polishes their skills.
CECOS students can use the library’s extended hours to satiate their appetite for knowledge, which includes a large collection of books and international publications.

Laboratories:-

CECOS’ computer labs are the most up-to-date and well-equipped in the country, with over a hundred Pentium IV PCs. Free internet access and the availability of any type of software provide students in any discipline with a means of gaining all of the skills required to become professionals in their chosen fields.

Admissions Policy:-

Admission to any programme at this university will be based only on merit, and both men and women will be considered equally. The University, on the other hand, reserves the right to impose quotas and preferences if circumstances need it.

Admission test is a mandatory requirement, and it will be a custom prepared test to evaluate the student’s ability in Architecture. This admission test will be needed of all candidates in order to be considered for admission to this programme.

The following weighting will be used to judge the candidates’ merit:

• 10% weightage to S.S.C. Examination (Matric) SSC % marks x 1
• 40% weightage to Intermediate or equivalent Intermediate % marks x 4
  examination (unadjusted marks)
• 50% weightage to entry test. Entry Test % marks x 5
