Gomal University Public Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Gomal University is a chartered institution. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, lay the foundation stone for Gomal University in DI Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On May 1, 1974, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto lay the foundation stone of Gomal University, demonstrating his commitment to a well educated Pakistan capable of meeting current world challenges in all aspects of life. Nawab Allah Nawaz Khan, the university’s first and founding Vice Chancellor, supplied the funds and the land. The Nawab of Dera Ismail Khan, Nawab Allah Nawaz Khan, gave 11000 Kn of agricultural land to the university’s establishment.
